Grus Academy

Grus Aviation Academy offers skill development courses for Aviation professionals and freshers in the most competitive and essential fields of aviation. The courses are tailored for legal compliance, auditing compliance, knowledge enhancement, and job-oriented.  

The Academy is registered and associated with the National Skill Development Corporation of India (NSDC) and Aerospace & Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC), Bengaluru, and jointly offer the courses. Certificates will be issued for successful candidates who complete the course. The Certificates will bear the endorsement of the Government of India (NSDC and AASSC) in the form of a Certificate Number and Logo along with Academy credentials. 

The Academy is a not-for-profit organisation with its registered office in Shivamogga and corporate office in Bengaluru. The Academy currently offers courses in:

Airport Bird and Wildlife Management 

Includes the contents of AASSC AAS/Q4104 of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), ICAO 9137 - Part 3, and inputs from industry experts in civil and military aviation. 

The course aims to refresh the skills and knowledge of serving BHCT/BASHM personnel, and freshers who seek to enhance their career opportunities. 


Course Contents:


Theory = 32 hours (online/onsite), Practical = 16 hours (onsite), Total = 48 hours

The course can be completed in 6 days

Exam at the end of the course for a Certificate of completion

ICAO Annex 14 

Includes the contents of ICAO Annex - 14 and inputs from civil aviation. 


The course aims to refresh the skills and knowledge of Airport Management and Administration Staff, Airport Operations Personnel, Airport Safety Officers, ATC Staff, Emergency Response Teams, Maintenance and Engineering Personnel, Ground Handling and Service Providers and Airport Security Personnel. 


Course Content of ICAO Annex -14:


Total = 65 hours (onsite)

The course can be completed in 11 days

Exam at the end of the course for a Certificate of completion


Saftey Management System

Includes the contents of ICAO Doc 9859 and inputs from civil aviation. 


The course aims to refresh the skills and knowledge of Airport Management and Administration Staff, Airport Operations Personnel, Airport Safety Officers, ATC Staff, Emergency Response Teams, Maintenance and Engineering Personnel, Ground Handling and Service Providers and Airport Security Personnel. 


Course Content of Safety Management System (SMS):


Total = 39 hours (onsite)

The course can be completed in 6 days

Exam at the end of the course for a Certificate of completion




Illegal Wildlife Trafficking Management 

Includes the contents of the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972, the Convention of International Trade on Endangered Species (CITES), the Customs Act 1962, the Indian Penal Code 1860, The Arms Act 1959, The Indian Evidence Act 1872, The Indian Forest Act 1927 (IFA), and The Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act 2006. 

 

The course aims to refresh the skills and knowledge of serving Customs Officials, Forest Staff, Border Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), ITBP, Civil Aviation Terminal Managers, CBI, DRI, Police, CID, Postal Departments, CISF, WCCB, Indian Army, freshers and NGOs who seek to enhance their career opportunities. 


Course Content of Illegal Wildlife Trafficking Management (IWTM):


Theory = 40 hours

Practical = 8 hours

Total = 48 hours


Completed in 6 days with an average of 8 hours per day consisting of both theory and practicals with lunch breaks. An Onsite Course. Not available Online. 


Venue: The course will be conducted at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Palasamudram, Andhra Pradesh (100km from Bengaluru International Airport). Accommodations are available near/in the institute and charges are applicable.
