Black Soldier Fly - municipal waste - airport vegetation waste

Grus is entering into a partnership with the International Airport Waste Management Association (IAWMA) to efficiently handle the airport wastes. The degradable wastes like food waste and landscape wastes are handled by establishing in situ processing units and we employ Black Soldier Fly (BSF) to hasten the composting process. The composting happens quickly within a week and the quality of compost is of superior quality to vermi and city composts. Airports could use the compost for their landscape.

BSF is up to 180 times more efficient than earthworms, aerobic composting and biogas. Composting by BSF is odourless, quick and yields many valuable byproducts. The enterprise would be revenue-earning and partially self-supporting generating Carbon Credits for the airport. Our operations would be ISO 14001-2015 certified and comply with the Environment Protection Act of 1986 and the Solid Waste Management Rules of 2016.
