HARMONY Q3

Harmony Q3

Harmony Q3 is the first indigenous bioacoustic equipment in India to deter depredatory animals of agriculture. The equipment tells Elephants, Nilgai, Wild boar and 20 species of wildlife in their own language, that the treated area is 'DANGEROUS'. Understanding the signals, animals leave the area or stop advancing towards agriculture fields.

Harmony Q3 is tested by CCS Agriculture University, Hissar, Haryana and is recommended to be used in agriculture fields. Farmers can avail 50% subsidy on the product. As per the test report of Hissar Agriculture University, the equipment is capable of dispersing depredatory animals to an extent of 89%.

Odisha Agriculture Engineering Department tested the equipment on elephants in the paddy ecosystem and found it effective. The subsidy is available on the equipment in more than seven states of India.

The equipment comes with a full-range speaker, a control device, and a solar panel. Devices can be charged from a solar panel or from commercial electricity. In the daytime, the device functions on solar power and charges the battery. Once charged and as required, the device functions on battery for 14 hours. Farmer can choose between three modes of operations, viz., 'day', 'night' or '24-hr' as per requirement. For example, in night mode, the equipment turns on automatically once the Sun sets (the equipment is not light-dependent).

One piece of equipment deters Wild Boar, Nilgai, Black-naped Hare, Black Buck, Spotted Deer, Three-striped Palm Squirrel, Northern Palm Squirrel, Indian Flying Fox, Bonnet Macaque (not in urban conditions), Rhesus Macaque (not in urban conditions), Assamese Macaque, Indian Guar, Northern plains Grey Langur, Southern plains Grey Langur, Terai Grey Langur, Leopard, Sambar Deer, Sloth Bear, Asian Elephant and Asian Black Bear.
