Story of Grus

Grus is Cranes in Latin and the name stands for a southern constellation represented by the figure of a Crane.

Grus is the only organisation researching the language of birds and animals in India. We tell the birds and animals in their own language ‘Don’t come here’. The birds and animals understand this and stop entering the area. This, bioacoustics technology, is used in more than 57 airports to ward off birds and wild animals in India. Farmers in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra are using the technology to protect crops.

Grus has empanelled core members of the National Bird Control Committee, NBCC of DGCA, under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. We have the credit of studying more than 33 airports in India and have more than 1,20,000 data entries of bird movements in Indian Airports since 2007. This helps us to use powerful algorithms to predict and assess the trends of bird movements in airports.

Grus is a potpourri of ideas. We have solid waste management using Black Soldier Fly (turn waste into compost in 24 hours), revenue-sharing vegetation management models with airports, carbon footprint reduction in airports, new innovative product development for airports and agriculture, BASHM studies, training and skill development.

We have a patent pending anti perch devices for airports and apartments to permanently rid of Pigeons, Kites and more than 47 types of perching birds. Our concepts are minimalistic, miscible with structures, enhance beauty, cost-effective, and maintenance-free.
